Summary:

. . . That I'd say again. We all have lines that we really liked in our work, right? Well, pick ten (10) lines you've used and adored, and use them as prompts for other drabbles or one shots or . . . y'know, whatever.

If you choose to do this challenge, please put 10 Things I've Said somewhere in the summary, okay? That way I can see it!

Summary: I've been in a mood or rather stuck in a rut, I'm not really sure which since it sucks either way, of being able to write nothing but angst lately and it occurred to me that other people might have been or are in the same situation and since writing is what we writers do, no matter what, why not make a challenge just for angst?

Rules:

[1] You must show in the summary that you have accepted my challenge, since I'd love to read what you've written.

[2] It can be any length, as long as it's over one hundred words - one-shots, drabbles, ficlets etc.

[3] You can use any pairing you want and OC's as well as Reader Inserts are accepted. Yaoi and Yuri are accepted, also.

[4] You can use any fandom you like or no fandom at all.

[5] Genre must be angst or angst related and you must do forty of them – the title speaks for itself on those matters.

[6] There are no prompts because when I write angst it’s always out-of-nowhere, but if you’d like to use prompts then by all means do so. It won’t bother me any.

Summary: You know the drill. I saw some challenges like this, so I wanted to put together one of my own. Unfortunately, I’m not huge into music, so it proved a bit difficult to find fifty songs with usable lyrics. Hopefully I still managed a bit of variety.

Rules
1. Any fandom, any characters, any point of view, any sort of pairing or lack thereof.
2. I don’t really care what you do with the prompts. Want to quote them? Fine. Want to use them as a general idea? Fine. Think the prompt is a little long and want to shave it down? Fine. Want to look up the rest of the song and use it as a song fic? Also fine!
3. Write your responses as long or as short as you want. This can be a collection or a whole story. It’s up to you.
4. Feel free to do these in any order you desire.
5. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. My details can be found on my profile.

Summary: Hello, denizens of the gotvg challenge forum! Are you tired of challenges that require drabbles and/or collections of some kind? Do you want to write an actual story from beginning to end, with chapters and everything? Then I have a challenge for you!

So what do you do?

1. Pick a book—any book.

2. Open your book up to the table of contents.

3. Use the chapter titles as chapter titles for your own fan fiction.

The Catches?

1. Make sure your fan fiction fandom and the book are dissimilar enough to make things interesting.

For example:

Good: An Avengers fan fiction using the chapter titles from The Golden Compass.

Bad: A House of Night fan fiction using the chapter titles from Twilight.

Now obviously, I can’t stop you from doing this, but I think in the latter case it would be tempting to just write Twilight with House of Night characters.

2. No crossovers.

Don’t write a Katekyo Hitman Reborn! fan fiction using Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire chapters while using both fandoms and/or settings. The point is to write something of your own while using these chapter titles as inspiration not basis for a story.

3. No AUs.

This is fairly similar to Catch #2, but it still needs to be said. Your story must be set in the fandom of the story you are writing’s world, not the story of the book. For example, if you chose to write an Avengers fan fiction based on chapter titles from The Golden Compass, nobody should have daemons.

Any Other Rules?

1. Make sure not to copy the plot of novel you are working with, or what happens in a given chapter. Give things your own spin.

2. Still, make sure the chapter titles actually make sense with what happens in the chapter. It doesn’t have to fit perfectly, but it should make sense if the reader gives it some thought.

3. No skipping chapter titles. You must use every single one in your selected book.

4. No adding chapters. If you want a longer fan fiction, pick a longer book.

5. HOWEVER, this does not apply to prologues or epilogues. You may add these where there are none, or ignore them in books that have them.

6. You may use a manga for the chapter titles source, but only if the manga is completely finished. This is because you need to use every chapter.

7. You don’t have to give your fan fiction the same title as the book you are using as a chapter title source.

8. Make sure to give credit to your selected book in the author’s note of your first chapter.

9. Any sort of pairing goes. By that, I mean you can do heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, asexual, or any other type sexuality you wish.

10. You may use canon characters, reader characters, OCs, or any combination that you like.

11. You may use any point of view you prefer.

12. You may use any fandom you want—movies, anime, television, books, whatever you want!

13. You work has to be a story. No collections.

I think that’s it. If I haven’t been very clear, please feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have! My e-mail can be found on my profile.

There’s no deadline—and do try to have fun!

Summary: So, my friend told me about a type of story they wanted me to write, but since I have no idea how to, I'll leave it to you, wonderful writers. Your objective is this: Write a story (can be as long or as short as you like - just over 100 words) about "hard work that gets someone reaching their goal" (to quote my friend). I guess you can call it a motivation boost? Also, please leave it somewhere that you're writing for this prompt because I'd love to read your stories. Thanks, and good luck. ^-^

Summary: Pick a colour of your choice, and incorporate it to your story.

Rules:
- It can be any length so long as it’s at least 100 words—doesn’t matter if it’s a collection, one-shot, or a drabble
- It can be a fic, or an original
- Any pairing, or even without one
- Doesn’t matter what genre, or what fandom you’re writing for (if there’s any)
- Doesn’t matter how you you want to incorporate the colour(s) into your story, either
- It doesn’t matter what colour [you could even incorporate every single colour imaginable], but…
- The colour has to play a part in your story--not just a passing term used to describe something
- Please name your story title/chapter titles with said colour [examples: red lipstick, ultramarine blue]
- You could also join this challenge with some others. Maybe make it a songfic or something! [examples: Coldplay’s Yellow, Kagamine Len’s Purple Butterfly, etc]

Some ideas/examples:
- The reader has a red lipstick on, and the main male character expresses what he thinks about the lipstick.
- The main character of your story falls deep into depression, and you can describe this depression as a colour.
- Or maybe even how this character was saved by a character who's associated with a colour.
- An important incident that happened entirely in a room that's completely white, and how it affects how the characters feel about the incident.

I hope you guys have fun! Feel free to approach me for any questions! You can see my contact details in my profile.

Nightmare: A haunting dream that scares you to the very core, until you feel completely paralyzed. Weep in fear or kill the beast - either way, the experience is filled with the flames of hell.

Lucid Dream: And suddenly you are aware of your surroundings and you know that this is only a dream. But you can do everything that you want to do - nobody is there to lecture you. You are free to do everything.

Summary: Suddenly becoming a father, a single one at that was the absolutely last thing on his 'to do list', but fate clearly had other ideas. He's about to find out if he is in fact 'man enough' to handle every crazy, frustrating and surprisingly scary thing that comes with raising a child to adulthood alone.

Rules:

Okay, so this challenge needs some explaining. Basically you just need to pick a guy from any anime, manga, book, TV Show, games ect. that probably would not make the best father and unexpectedly plop a child who's age can range anywhere from a newborn to a toddler, no older or younger though, into his custody one way or another. Also, the child must biologically be his.

[1] You must show in the summary that you have accepted my challenge, since I'd love to read what you've written.

[2] It can be any length, as long as it's over one hundred words.

[3] You can use any fandom you like or no fandom at all.

[4] The guy you pick must be a single father and the mother cannot be in the picture for whatever reason you'd like to come up with.

[5] You do not have to use the example guys as they are just there for reference as to what type of guy I want to see being used for this challenge.

Example Guys:

1. Xanxus (Katekyou Hitman Reborn!)

2. Levi (Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan)

3. Train Heartnet (Black Cat)

4. Dante (Devil May Cry)

Summary: I'm craving for a well-written fanfic wherein the reader and the other lead character are from two opposing teams or can't see eye-to-eye most of the time. Something that has the cliche love-hate relationship (and the pent-up sexual frustration that comes with it hahaha)

I initially thought of writing a Katekyo Hitman Reborn fanfic wherein the reader would be from another famiglia or something like that. However, for this challenge, you can use any fandom and any type of story. No limits on the rating. I haven't thought much about the rules, really haha Just wing it :)) Of course, the longer the better ;)

Aside from my eternal gratitude, I'll give the authors who will respond to this challenge an illustration of a scene of their stories or a banner - my friends say that I'm pretty nifty with a pencil and photoshop haha :D

I might not be proud of some of the things I've done in the past, but I am proud of who I am today. I may not be perfect but I don't need to be. Take me as I am, or watch me as I walk away."

124. "Don't hold on because you think there will be no one else. There will always be someone else. You've got to believe you are worth more than being repeatedly hurt by someone who doesn't really care, and believe that someone will see what you are really worth and treat you the way you should be treated."

126. "If she flinches when you go to put your arm around her... someone else's hand once wasn't so sweet. If she questions you... someone else lied to her. If she doesn't tell you things... someone else once betrayed her secrets. Behind every cranky, complicated girl or girl who is scared to love is a girl who is tired of being broken."

127. "Good women appreciate simple things. You don't need to have anything spectacular planned. She just loves to hear that you have a plan that includes her."

Summary: This is just some random, hilariously stupid but altogether amusing thing I found on Facebook and decided to post as a challenge.

Rules:

[1] You must show in the summary that you have accepted my challenge, since I'd love to read what you've written.

[2] It can be any length, as long as it's over one hundred words.

[3] You can use any pairing you want and OC's as well as Reader Inserts are accepted. Genre - romance/smut/crack - does not matter; all of that is all up to you.

[4] You can use any fandom you like or no fandom at all.

[5] They do not have to be in order.

[6] You do not have to do all of them.

The Bro's:

#1 The Friendly Bro - He's funny, non threatening, and generally very pleasant. He's probably one of your friends, and though he may have a crush on you, he's clearly stuck in the friend zone. Will he ever get out?

#2 The Sleazy Bro - He's hooked up with two of your friends, and if we're being honest, you. He says all the right things, and looks all the right ways, but this is not the bro to bring home to mom.

#3 The Goofy Bro - He's the funniest person you know, and you love him for it. Though he's not the hottest guy in the room, there's a good chance he'll sweep you off your feet on personality alone.

#4 The Heartthrob Bro - He's got the face, the body, and the personality. He's smart, artistic, and a great dad (potentially). Even if it doesn't work out with him, you'll always remember him fondly.

#5 The Cool Bro - He's good looking, talented, and highly sought after. The problem is he acts like it. He might be fun for a while, but he isn't going to bring any sense of stability to your life.

#6 The Pot Head Bro - This bro has a little too much time on his hands, and that's not a good thing. We love lazy Sunday's on the couch, but this bro is a beyond us. Stay away.

#7 The Player Bro - Not unlike the heartthrob bro, the Player Bro is the total package. So what's the problem? He's not known for being loyal, and might be tempted to test the waters form time to time. Take a pass.

#8 The Dreamboat Bro - Another cousin of the Heartthrob Bro, the Dreamboat is even more elusive. He is rarely seen, and when he is he's got an equally dreamy girl. If you ever get a chance, take it, it may be your only one.

#9 The Douchebag Bro - Yeah, he's sort of cute, but that's where the endearing qualities end. He's not someone you should ever take seriously, and if you do, you won't be taken seriously. Think about that.

#10 The Gay Bro - At one point or another we've all dated that perfect guy. The one who dressed well, had the great job, and the beautiful apartment. Well, we're here to tell you that yes, he is perfect, but maybe not perfect for you. Better yet, you're not perfect for him. Get it?

#11 The Burnt Out Bro - He use to be cool, but then he didn't stop. If he's still rocking his favorite high school band shirt, and waiting in line for the keg, run, just run. Don't look back, just run.

#12 THE Bro - He's a little bit of everything all rolled into one. Looks, charm, talent (arguably), and confidence (lots of it). Even still, there's something off about him, and you just aren't sure what to do. Well, we suggest you have a good time but don't get too attached. He will break your heart.

Summary: Your characters have been rendered mute. Or, if you would prefer, your hands have told very specifically that they can no longer stray to those dreaded quotation marks for the duration of your story. Without words, without sound, your challenge is to portray emotion and get your point(s) across. Write about whatever catches your fancy, but feel free to point me to it, as I would very much like to see what the responses to this would be.
