. . . That I'd say again. We all have lines that we really liked in our work, right? Well, pick ten (10) lines you've used and adored, and use them as prompts for other drabbles or one shots or . . . y'know, whatever.

If you choose to do this challenge, please put 10 Things I've Said somewhere in the summary, okay? That way I can see it!

Summary: I'm pretty sure a kissing challenge has already been done by someone somewhere, but I couldn't remember if all of these had ever been used before so I decided to post this with all twenty-one types of kisses.

Rules:

[1] You must show in the summary that you have accepted my challenge, since I'd love to read what you've written.

[2] It can be any length, as long as it's over one hundred words.

[3] You can use any pairing you want and OC's as well as Reader Inserts are accepted. Yaoi and Yuri are accepted, also. Genre - romance/smut/crack - does not matter; all of that is all up to you.

[4] You can use any fandom you like or no fandom at all.

[5] They do not have to be in order.

Types of Kisses and Their Meanings:

1. The Forehead Kiss - The forehead kiss usually means that you are just friends. Depending on how it is planted, it can also be used as a means of showing deep affection to a loved one. Most people use use it as a starter kiss when they meet someone new, to express that they like them.

2. The Eskimo Kiss - It is commonly used by children and parents as an indication of affection. It involves rubbing your nose against your loved nose back and forth. This type of kiss has its origin from the Eskimo, hence the name Eskimo kiss.

3. The French Kiss - The French is considered most popular romantic kiss. A kiss is named ‘French kiss’ when a person’s tongue touches another person’s tongue. This is why it is also known as tongue kissing. This type of kiss is very easy to execute but it may take years to master.

4. The Single-Lip Kiss - This type of kiss involves gently sucking another person’s lip. To give your partner a single-lip kiss, you have to take any one of their lips sandwiched between yours and suck gently. If done in the correct manner, this kiss can send a strong romantic signal to you partner.

5. The Hand Kiss - It is given by gently grasping someone’s hand by the fingers and kissing the back side. The hand kiss demonstrates respect, adoration and kindness.

6. The Earlobe Kiss - It involves taking someone’s earlobe between the lips and tugging gently upwards or downwards. This kiss can be made more intense by gently rubbing the tongue in a circular motion on the earlobe.

7. The Butterfly Kiss - This type of kiss involves getting close to someone so that your eyelashes touch. Just before kissing the lips, blink very fast so that eyelashes flatter very fast just like the butterfly wings. This type of kiss is usually done for fun.

8. The Upside-Down Kiss - This type of kiss originates from the Spiderman movie. it is a romantic kiss It is also known as the spiderman kiss. It involves kissing a person whose head is upside-down from yours. This way your bottom lip kisses their top lip and vice versa.

9. Lingering Lip Kiss - This is a closed mouth kiss that lasts for more than 20 seconds. The tongue is not involved in this kiss. Lingering lip kisses involve the lips only. This kiss serves as an indication of deep love.

10. The Cheek Kiss - This is a closed mouth kiss on someone’s cheeks. This kiss can be used to flirt, to pass a friendly greeting or to say goodbye to someone you love.

11. The Peck - The peck is a short tight lipped kiss on the lips or cheeks. It is used as an expression of friendship. A peck can also spark romance between two people. If you don’t get over it, just make him/her your lover.

12. The Lip-Gloss Kiss - This is a fun kiss. It involves putting on a harmless amount of ChapStick or lip gloss on the lips and then rubbing it on your partner’s lips until they are also coated. It is recommended that you use a lip gloss that is sweet and flavored to surprise your partner.

13. Secret Message Kiss - This is basically a French kiss with a ‘secret message’. It involves spelling out a message to your partner in the in the middle of a French kiss. This kiss is useful if you want to pass a romantic message to your partner.

14. The Lizard Kiss - This kiss involves sticking your tongue in and out of your partner’s mouth. It is done in quick strokes. The lizard kiss is usually practiced just for fun.

15. The Air Kiss - The air kiss is used as a form of greeting to friends and family. It is done by resting your cheeks on or near someone’s cheeks and then producing a kissing sound.

16. The Angel Kiss - This kiss involves kissing someone gently on the eyelids or on a spot near the eyes using the lips. This type of kiss indicates deep affection and is mostly used when saying goodbye to someone or when waking up a loved one.

17. The Biting Kiss - This is an open mouthed kiss that incorporates the tongue just like the French kiss. The only difference between this kiss and the French kiss is the fact that the teeth are also put into use. The teeth gently grab your partners tongue as you kiss.

18. The Neck Kiss - As the name suggests, neck kissing involves kissing someone’s neck. Most people love doing it after French kissing for a while. You have to learn to keep the saliva 'light' to execute this type of kiss perfectly. Use only your lips and do not suck hard to prevent you mouth from producing much saliva.

19. The Vampire Kiss - It is done for fun. This is a deep kiss on your partner’s neck. It also involves light biting and sucking. Some people might find this kiss not sexy, therefore it is important to find out whether your partner likes it or not.

20. The Jawline Kiss - It is done by people who are used to each other. You should never try this kiss on someone you just met. A jawline kiss is a firm kiss on the lower side of the jaw where the neck meets the jaw. It is usually fun to kiss someone’s jawline after having some intense French kissing.

21. The Teaser Kiss - This kiss begins from the forehead, to the lips and then down to the arms and hands. On reaching the hands, the sequence is reversed from the hands then up to the lips and forehead. This kiss can be quite useful if you want to turn on your partner and make them want more.

Summary: I've been in a mood or rather stuck in a rut, I'm not really sure which since it sucks either way, of being able to write nothing but angst lately and it occurred to me that other people might have been or are in the same situation and since writing is what we writers do, no matter what, why not make a challenge just for angst?

Rules:

[1] You must show in the summary that you have accepted my challenge, since I'd love to read what you've written.

[2] It can be any length, as long as it's over one hundred words - one-shots, drabbles, ficlets etc.

[3] You can use any pairing you want and OC's as well as Reader Inserts are accepted. Yaoi and Yuri are accepted, also.

[4] You can use any fandom you like or no fandom at all.

[5] Genre must be angst or angst related and you must do forty of them – the title speaks for itself on those matters.

[6] There are no prompts because when I write angst it’s always out-of-nowhere, but if you’d like to use prompts then by all means do so. It won’t bother me any.

Summary: You know the drill. I saw some challenges like this, so I wanted to put together one of my own. Unfortunately, I’m not huge into music, so it proved a bit difficult to find fifty songs with usable lyrics. Hopefully I still managed a bit of variety.

Rules
1. Any fandom, any characters, any point of view, any sort of pairing or lack thereof.
2. I don’t really care what you do with the prompts. Want to quote them? Fine. Want to use them as a general idea? Fine. Think the prompt is a little long and want to shave it down? Fine. Want to look up the rest of the song and use it as a song fic? Also fine!
3. Write your responses as long or as short as you want. This can be a collection or a whole story. It’s up to you.
4. Feel free to do these in any order you desire.
5. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. My details can be found on my profile.

Summary: Hello, denizens of the gotvg challenge forum! Are you tired of challenges that require drabbles and/or collections of some kind? Do you want to write an actual story from beginning to end, with chapters and everything? Then I have a challenge for you!

So what do you do?

1. Pick a book—any book.

2. Open your book up to the table of contents.

3. Use the chapter titles as chapter titles for your own fan fiction.

The Catches?

1. Make sure your fan fiction fandom and the book are dissimilar enough to make things interesting.

For example:

Good: An Avengers fan fiction using the chapter titles from The Golden Compass.

Bad: A House of Night fan fiction using the chapter titles from Twilight.

Now obviously, I can’t stop you from doing this, but I think in the latter case it would be tempting to just write Twilight with House of Night characters.

2. No crossovers.

Don’t write a Katekyo Hitman Reborn! fan fiction using Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire chapters while using both fandoms and/or settings. The point is to write something of your own while using these chapter titles as inspiration not basis for a story.

3. No AUs.

This is fairly similar to Catch #2, but it still needs to be said. Your story must be set in the fandom of the story you are writing’s world, not the story of the book. For example, if you chose to write an Avengers fan fiction based on chapter titles from The Golden Compass, nobody should have daemons.

Any Other Rules?

1. Make sure not to copy the plot of novel you are working with, or what happens in a given chapter. Give things your own spin.

2. Still, make sure the chapter titles actually make sense with what happens in the chapter. It doesn’t have to fit perfectly, but it should make sense if the reader gives it some thought.

3. No skipping chapter titles. You must use every single one in your selected book.

4. No adding chapters. If you want a longer fan fiction, pick a longer book.

5. HOWEVER, this does not apply to prologues or epilogues. You may add these where there are none, or ignore them in books that have them.

6. You may use a manga for the chapter titles source, but only if the manga is completely finished. This is because you need to use every chapter.

Summary: So, my friend told me about a type of story they wanted me to write, but since I have no idea how to, I'll leave it to you, wonderful writers. Your objective is this: Write a story (can be as long or as short as you like - just over 100 words) about "hard work that gets someone reaching their goal" (to quote my friend). I guess you can call it a motivation boost? Also, please leave it somewhere that you're writing for this prompt because I'd love to read your stories. Thanks, and good luck. ^-^

Summary: A trope defined as “a story in which one small change has a ripple effect, resulting in massive changes.”

We’ve all seen them lurking in the dark corners of our favorite websites: the story of how the OC from the "real world" gets somehow trapped in the world of their favorite television show, manga, or game. Some of us may have even been guilty of writing one ourselves in our younger days. Ahem.

Normally what happens is that this OC/self-insert does little more than “mysteriously” know what’s going to happen. They develop or are shown to have abilities that help them to excel in their new world. They have parents that were abusive or uncaring so there’s no reason to go home. The character they love the most falls in love with them. If said character dies in-universe, the insert saves them or takes them back to the real world. Nothing changes outside of sarcastic or seemingly psychic commentary, and a dash of romance.

This is not what I want to see for this challenge.

You are to insert something from the “real” world into the universe of your chosen fandom. That something can be an OC, a self-insert, or a reader. Since that something is now in the universe, things are going to be different. Your “something” is the “nail” of this alternate universe of your chosen fandom.

You are, of course, allowed to follow what TV Tropes calls “The Stations of Canon.” Example: You want to insert something into KHR!. The usual plot important points such as Kokuyo Land, the Ring Trails, and the Future Arc can all be involved. However, the way these points unfold and end must be obviously different from what happened in the series. Perhaps your insert's presence means that Gokudera never becomes Tsuna's friend. Maybe your insert being there means Xanxus wins the Sky Ring instead. Something like that.

Basically, don’t just write the exact story with your insert something making snarky commentary and preventing all the bad stuff from happening. If the insert something stops one bad thing from happening, then some other unexpected bad thing would crop up as a result of preventing the other one. Make sure there are ripples that happen because of the insert something being there.

Important Considerations

1. Home

Does the reader want to get home? Will they and how?

2. Powers or Abilities

Make sure the reader has a reason to have powers or abilities similar to the main cast, or that they learn them at a reasonable rate. The real world does not have flames so the insert shouldn’t have that before arriving, but they could reasonably have been taught archery or some sort of weapon or martial art.

3. The New Universe

Is the new universe safe or threatening? If you thrust your insert into Naruto, most real world people aren’t going to be able to deal cheerfully with ninjas and death all around them right away, whether they are a fan of the series or not. Make sure the reactions are believable for whatever insert you fabricate.

4. How Much They Know

Is your insert up to date on One Piece or did they give up after the Alabasta Arc? Have they read spoilers for upcoming Marvel movies or just seen a few of the Phase 1 movies? Keep in mind what your reader knows, and therefore what they know to prevent and if they can.

5. Death—or Not

If your insert saves Sirius Black from death in a Harry Potter fan fiction, things are going to play out differently than they did in the series proper. The same is true for if the insert prevents Demyx from “fading” in Kingdom Hearts II. Don’t be tempted to tell the exact same story with two extra characters hanging about.

Rules/Clarifications

1. Word count must be 500+
2. Any sort of sexuality for any romances (including the insert or not) is fine.
3. Make sure this is a fan fiction. Having your fictional “real world” insert go into a fictional “fictional world” is not really in the spirit of the challenge.
4. Any fandom is fine for your fictional universe.
5. Don’t make your character have belonged to this fictional universe all along.

Essentially, what I’m looking for is a realistic, reasonably well-written version of an old, cringe-worthy classic sort of fan fic. Make the insert—whatever it is, so long as it’s a real world thing sent into a fictional world—believable. Obviously the part where they get to this fictional world won’t be so realistic, though, so go wild for that bit. Try to have fun!

As always, please feel free to e-mail me for clarification on anything here. I feel that I might not have made myself as plain as I could have, and I’d hate for confusion to prevent anyone from trying their hand at this.
Categories: Anime/Manga, Books, Comics, Games, MMORPG, Movies, Musicals, TV-Shows/Radio, Webseries Characters: Various
Summary: You know what’s really popular right now? Retelling fairytales. Movies do it; books do it; I’m sure other forms of media do as well. So why not get some fan fiction in on the proceedings?

Here’s the deal: Take a fairytale, preferably one that’s well known, though it doesn’t have to be. Then, rewrite it in the context of your chosen fandom!

Here’s the twist: No AUs. I want you to completely and utterly fit your rewritten tale into the timeline and structure that already exists in the anime or manga or movie or whatever that you picked. That means no making the reader a princess and setting it in the middle ages. It also means you can’t just slap “Dark!Tsuna” on as the Beast character in a Beauty and the Beast retelling. If you want to use Tsuna in that role, figure out how to make it make sense with his actual characterization. Retell Cinderella with the whole of The Mortal Instruments and not just the characters. Work Sleeping Beauty into Free! without scrapping the high school swim team element. Get my drift?

A few extra details:

1. I use “reader character” when speaking of the female love interest, but feel free to use only canon characters, or even your fandom character if you prefer.

2. Gender swapping the roles is fine. Want to rewrite Rapunzel with Twilight characters and make Edward Rapunzel and the reader character the prince? That’s perfectly fine.

3. Related to the above, do whatever you like with the sexuality of your characters. If you want to rewrite the Little Mermaid with the reader character as the mermaid and Natasha Romanoff as the prince, you go for it. I think asexuality would be difficult in a fairytale, but if you can manage it (or find a good fairytale for that idea), then feel free to do that as well. Seriously, anything goes.

4. The point is to retell a fairytale story while making it believable in the context of your chosen fandom’s canon. That means no making canon characters out of character to suit your purposes, or just lifting plot details and items straight from your fairytale. A ball to choose a wife at isn’t going to make sense in most fandoms, and you’d get more creativity “points” if you used something other than a glass slipper retelling Cinderella.

5. Your fairytale is going to look different than the original. That’s the point. Plan things out. Think outside the box.

6. This challenge is not for drabble or ficlet collections. You must write enough to encompass the fairytale you're retelling. One shots, therefore, are fine, as is writing a novel-length story.

7. Use whatever fandom in whatever media you would like for this.

8. The only limitation is that this challenge is not for original fiction. In that case, you don’t have a fandom to fit the story in and the rest of the rules are moot!

9. You may adapt fairytales in their generally more violent or sad incarnations, or those that have been through "Disneyfication."

Hopefully I gave enough examples that the idea I'm going for here is clear. As always, if you’re interested but don’t quite understand, please feel free to contact me. My contact information can be found on my profile.

Summary: Suddenly becoming a father, a single one at that was the absolutely last thing on his 'to do list', but fate clearly had other ideas. He's about to find out if he is in fact 'man enough' to handle every crazy, frustrating and surprisingly scary thing that comes with raising a child to adulthood alone.

Rules:

Okay, so this challenge needs some explaining. Basically you just need to pick a guy from any anime, manga, book, TV Show, games ect. that probably would not make the best father and unexpectedly plop a child who's age can range anywhere from a newborn to a toddler, no older or younger though, into his custody one way or another. Also, the child must biologically be his.

[1] You must show in the summary that you have accepted my challenge, since I'd love to read what you've written.

[2] It can be any length, as long as it's over one hundred words.

[3] You can use any fandom you like or no fandom at all.

[4] The guy you pick must be a single father and the mother cannot be in the picture for whatever reason you'd like to come up with.

[5] You do not have to use the example guys as they are just there for reference as to what type of guy I want to see being used for this challenge.

Example Guys:

1. Xanxus (Katekyou Hitman Reborn!)

2. Levi (Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan)

3. Train Heartnet (Black Cat)

4. Dante (Devil May Cry)

Summary: I'm craving for a well-written fanfic wherein the reader and the other lead character are from two opposing teams or can't see eye-to-eye most of the time. Something that has the cliche love-hate relationship (and the pent-up sexual frustration that comes with it hahaha)

I initially thought of writing a Katekyo Hitman Reborn fanfic wherein the reader would be from another famiglia or something like that. However, for this challenge, you can use any fandom and any type of story. No limits on the rating. I haven't thought much about the rules, really haha Just wing it :)) Of course, the longer the better ;)

Aside from my eternal gratitude, I'll give the authors who will respond to this challenge an illustration of a scene of their stories or a banner - my friends say that I'm pretty nifty with a pencil and photoshop haha :D
